The Guse lab introduced Aiptasia as a novel model system to study coral symbiosis at the very timely EMBO conference on: New Model Systems linking Ecology and Evolution held at the EMBL from May 1st to May 4th 2013. The talk about Aiptasia was part of the last session of the meeting entitled “Interactions and Ecosystems”. The meeting was very well attended with excellent invited speakers and gave a good overview on the status of the field. The food at EMBL was fantastic too.
